Graduate Recruitment Process
If you decide that a career in fashion buying or merchandising is the right career choice for you, you should apply for a Trainee Buyer or Trainee Merchandiser role within the UK or International fashion businesses using the link provided.
On receipt of your application, it will be screened against the criteria for the role. If you meet the criteria, you will be screened by telephone by one of our Recruitment team. This gives you the opportunity to discuss your application and experience, and importantly allows you to answer any questions you may have about the opportunities at Tesco.
If you successfully complete the screening stage of the process, you will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre where you will have the opportunity to show your talents and abilities with other potential candidates. This also gives you a great opportunity to meet our Recruitment Team, and some Buyers or Merchandisers who currently work within our Clothing businesses. Again, this allows you to ask any questions that you have.
A typical Assessment Centre will involve, group exercises, an individual presentation, (prepared before the event) numerical & verbal ability tests, and a competency based interview. Details would be confirmed in writing to you in advance, and individual feedback would be offered after the event.
